Nate Kauffman is a Climate Adaptation Planner specializing in studying, designing and implementing systematic and strategic change. A winner of multiple national awards for environmental design and planning, Nate is also a researcher and scholar with a broad consulting portfolio for various cross-sector clients. As VP of a tech startup working to broaden climate awareness and civic engagement to the public and planning agencies, Nate graduated from UC Berkeley's SkyDeck incubator and accelerator. Nate teaches courses in sustainable design and development; and environmental design, planning and site engineering. A general contractor in a past life, Nate spends his nonexistent free time in, on, around and inevitably under water.
