The T.Y. Lin Prize is awarded annually to students who wish to pursue research in architecture with a strong engineering component. Eligible applicants are MArch, MS, and Ph.D. students with at least one year remaining to complete their degrees.

The Eisner Prizes in the Creative Arts are the most distinguished awards in five departments of the University: English, Music, Art, Dramatic Art, and Environmental Design. This year the amount allocated to Landscape Architecture is $2,000. The awards will be made for outstanding creative achievement in landscape architectural design.

The Judith Lee Stronach Travel Scholarships are open to undergraduates in all departments at CED and are meant to encourage the study of new places, cultures, and peoples, as well as a commitment to social responsibility. All travel should have a service-learning focus, combining educational goals and community service in a way that enhances student growth as well as the common good. Service-learning travel experiences can be in the context of volunteer work, a structured study-abroad program, self-directed senior thesis research, or independent research. Prize awarded to 4–6 students, each, during each award cycle.

The Michael Ho Memorial Travel Scholarship was established in 2006 to honor Michael Ho's (BA Architecture 1984, M.B.A. 1988) legacy and love for learning, architecture, and travel. The income from the Michael Ho Endowed Scholarship Fund is to be used to award an annual travel scholarship to a third-year undergraduate majoring in architecture at CED.

The Judith Lee Stronach Professional Experience Awards provide financial support to students seeking to participate in an unpaid summer professional training experience with a public agency or nonprofit organization, either within the U.S. or abroad.

Established through a gift by the Chung family, this prize is given each year to an urban studies sophomore or junior in order to support a public service project or internship that he or she will undertake during the summer. It is required that the project/internship has a public service initiative.

The Department of Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Award for Excellence in Landscape Design. Funded by the Narayanan Family Foundation, and now in its third year, the ELD award supports an individual or team of undergraduate and/or graduate student(s) to undertake a research project exploring innovation in landscape architectural design that relates to environmental issues such as sea level rise, green infrastructure, climate change, wetland restoration, and/or environmental justice, among possible topics for exploration.
