Lisa Iwamoto, Professor and Chair of the Department of Architecture, will be the next David K. Woo Chair at the College of Environmental Design. She succeeds Walter Hood, Professor of Landscape Architecture, in holding the position.

The whole idea, says founder, architect, and CED alumni Jeremiah Tolbert is to expose minority youth to architecture and design and show them that they can be a part of this as well.

After two summers of virtual instruction, students returned to Bauer Wurster Hall for CED’s summer programs and an immersion into an assortment of environmental design fields.

The College of Environmental Design and the Department of Architecture hosted a day-long symposium in April 2022 titled Conversations on Social Justice and Design, to honor Professor Emeritus Raymond Lifchez.
