CED is proud to announce that the inaugural NASA Equity and Environmental Justice Grant has been awarded to Professor of Landscape Architecture Iryna Dronova, DCRP Professor Emerita Karen Chapple, and DCRP Assistant Professor Zoé Hamstead for their proposal, "Where the Grass Grows Greener: The Impacts of Urban Greening on Housing Prices and Neighborhood Stability."

Dr. Hosbey’s ethnographic research explores Black social and cultural life in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Mississippi Delta regions, focusing on the ways these communities articulate modes of citizenship that interrupt racial capitalism and environmental precarity.

Engaged with the leading edge of architectural practice, his designs carefully analyze and re-purpose existing architectural typologies and standards – from urban patterns to building technologies – to generate something fresh and new.

Lisa Iwamoto, Professor and Chair of the Department of Architecture, will be the next David K. Woo Chair at the College of Environmental Design. She succeeds Walter Hood, Professor of Landscape Architecture, in holding the position.

The whole idea, says founder, architect, and CED alumni Jeremiah Tolbert is to expose minority youth to architecture and design and show them that they can be a part of this as well.
