Project Engineer Intern, Pribuss Engineering
Daniel DeSoto is coming to the UC Berkeley MRED+D program fresh after completing his undergraduate degree in Construction Management with a minor in Real Property Development at California Polytechnic State University located in San Luis Obispo, California. During his four years on the central coast, he began working on service projects which served his community. He also competed in several construction management competitions, taking home first place at the ASC regional competition and at the MCAA National Student Competition.
Daniel is thrilled to embark on his journey in the MRED+D program and couldn’t think of a better place than UC Berkeley. He has a keen interest in developing sustainability and aims to focus on redevelopment of existing structures and smaller multifamily units. He is hoping that the program can help him gain knowledge on the financial, city planning, and design phases of a development project. Daniel loves his home state of California and wishes to contribute to its beauty through development.
Daniel grew up in San Ramon, CA and watched the city go through a metamorphosis due to redevelopment of the area, sparking his passion for real estate. When he is not reading about real estate and development, he loves surfing, fishing, hiking, golfing with friends, and enjoying the diverse natural landscapes California has to offer.
