Bio

Leo Stroe has a professional background in real estate financing, investment strategy, macroeconomics and fundraising. As a student at UCB MRED+D, he is most excited to learn about innovative affordable housing development strategies as well as student and senior housing.

Leo is passionate about workforce housing needs in San Francisco and believes in the power of community and taking care of others in every way he can. As an SF native, Leo saw San Francisco seriously in need of help in 2021 following COVID-19 and became curious and committed to being more of service to the local community. Leo began to volunteer at the Mission Branch of the Y and attributes this serendipitous experience with opening his mind to the needs of the broader community in SF. He has always been intrigued by real estate development and is committed to being of service to his hometown by developing new affordable housing supply.

When he has free time, Leo enjoys hanging out with family, playing golf with friends, and walking his dogs Rocky & Rosie in Golden Gate Park.
