Leo Stroe
San Francisco, CA, USA
Mortgage Consultant, O’Dette Mortgage Group
Leo Stroe has a professional background in real estate financing, investment strategy, macroeconomics and communication. As a student at UCB MRED+D, he is most excited to learn about student housing development as well as innovative affordable housing development strategies.
Leo is passionate about affordable needs in San Francisco and believes in the power of community and taking care of others in every way he can. After a chance encounter with Jamie Bruning-Miles (CEO of Bay Area YMCA) in the parking lot of his gym, Leo began to volunteer at the Mission Branch of the Y. Leo attributes this serendipitous experience with opening his mind to the needs of the broader community in SF. He has always been intrigued by real estate development, but it was specifically the Power Station Project and Crane Cove development in SF (which will have a brand new Y) that inspired Leo to make a professional pivot and learn more about real estate development.
As an SF native, Leo knows lots about the Bay Area, so he invites his classmates to please feel free to reach out to him if they have any questions about restaurants, day trips, or SF history. Leo’s favorite pastime is playing golf. Golf is an opportunity for meditation and building relationships, which are Leo’s two favorite things in life.
