2024 AZ Award for Adaptive Reuse: Incision goes to alums Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu of Neri&Hu
Nantou City Guesthouse, Shenzhen, China, by Neri&Hu Design and Research Office was named a winner of a 2024 AZ Award in the category of Adaptive Reuse: Incision. Both Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu received their BAs in architecture from Berkeley and they returned in 2023 to serve as Friedman Visiting Professors of Practice in the Department of Architecture.

MArch alum Cathi Ho Schar named ACSA president
The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture announced Cathi Ho Schar, FAIA, (MArch 2003) as the organization’s 2024–2025 president. Ho Schar is an associate professor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Architecture and the inaugural director of the University of Hawaiʻi Community Design Center, a public-interest-driven public sector hybrid practice.

Five alums elevated to ASLA Council of Fellows
We're proud to announce that Patricia Algara (MLA 2007), Michael D. Murphy (MLA 1968), Patsy Eubanks Owens (MLA 1987), Dale Schafer (MLA 1991), and Judith Stilgenbauer (MLA 1998) have been elected to the 2024 class of fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Metropolis names Jack Tam among 100 top graduating architecture students of 2024
Metropolis has named Jack Tam (MArch 2024) to the Future100 class of 2024. A jury of design experts extends this exclusive designation annually to the top 100 graduating architecture and interior design students in the United States and Canada.
