Yameen Arshad is a registered architect with more than seven years of experience. She has a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Sustainable Studies from New Jersey Institute of Technology and has worked on a range of residential homes and commercial spaces, including cafés and retail spaces. In the realm of transportation, she has experience in design, construction, and project management for major transit agencies with a focus on new rail stations, and transit facilities. Prior to pursuing a graduate degree at UC Berkeley, Yameen worked at STV Inc., where her last project focused on space and accessible improvements.

Yameen hopes the Abbey MRED+D program will educate her in the essentials of real estate development with a focus in non-profit and affordable housing developments. Her passions lie in creating equality in living conditions and applying the principles of good design to solve crucial challenges we have in our society and its positive impacts on our communities.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening, home renovation, and typography to name a few hobbies. She enjoys scenic walks, cycling and exploring new neighborhoods, learning the rich culture and history they have to offer.
