Designer, Prospect Studio
Reily Gibson is an interdisciplinary designer and entrepreneur. Originally from Jackson, WY, she grew up exploring the mountains and cultivating a deep appreciation for the natural environment before earning a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in Economics with focuses in Sustainable Development and Public Space.
Over the past several years, Reily has studied and worked in the architecture industry, where she has been involved in diverse projects ranging from high-end residential homes to community centers to hospitality developments. Her strong design ethic and ability to think big-picture has allowed her to collaborate with diverse teams, expand her portfolio, and lead important design decisions.
Reily combines her analytical skill set and place-based design approach to advocate for social, climate, and spatial justice. As the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Architecture + Advocacy—a 501(c)(3) non-profit with chapters in Los Angeles and New York—Reily leads development projects towards a more community-driven process. She manages all finances for the organization, forges partnerships with local stakeholders, and supports programs that meaningfully engage community members in the design of their neighborhoods.
Through the MRED+D program at UC Berkeley, Reily is excited to expand her understanding of real estate development, financing, and design. She cares about the built, the un-built, and the in-between spaces where we spend life. In her career she plans to pursue equitable, climate-resilient, community-driven development projects that serve people and build stronger communities that are more connected to each other and to the earth.
In her free time, Reily prioritizes playing in the outdoors and exploring new places. She is an avid skier, a licensed river guide, and she loves to surf, trail run, practice yoga, and travel.
