Julian Knox (1930-2005)

Knox worked as a draftsman for a number of architects and engineers from 1956-1962, including Clayton Kantz, Delp Johnson, John. A. Blume, John Bolles, Loubet & Glynn, August Waegmann, and Marquis & Stoller. In 1962, he became a partner at Kosevitz & Knox where he stayed until 1967. Later he returned to work at Marquis & Stoller for several years, eventually opening a solo practice where he worked until his death in 2005.

Julian Floyd Knox was born in Ponca, Oklahoma in 1930.  He moved to Stockton, California where he attended Stockton High School and the College of the Pacific, earning an AA in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and upon his return enrolled at U.C. Berkeley. He graduated in 1957 with a BA in Architecture.
