Liz Caputo

Under the direction of the Director of Fabrication Services, this position is responsible for the instruction of safe use of shop equipment and the supervision of activity in the CED fabrication resources, including the Fabrication Shop, Material Store, Shop Yard, and Spray Booth. A Fabrication Specialist provides consultation and support to users on their projects, assists with promoting a safe, professional, inclusive, and positive shop culture, and maintains adherence to EH&S, CalOSHA, and campus compliance rules and regulations.

Liz graduated from SCAD with a BFA in Industrial Design. She has worked predominantly as a production ceramicist, custom fabricator, and graphic designer, but her love for making spans a much wider variety of mediums. In addition to working in CED's Fabrication Shop, Liz is a practicing artist and operates her own ceramics studio.
