Liz Caputo

Under the direction of the director of fabrication services, this position is responsible for the instruction of safe use of shop equipment and the supervision of activity in the CED fabrication resources, including the Fabrication Shop, Materials Store, Shop Yard, and Spray Booth. Provides consultation and support to users on their projects, assists with promoting a safe, professional, inclusive, and positive shop culture, and maintains adherence to EH&S, CalOSHA, and campus compliance rules and regulations.

Liz Caputo has worked primarily as a production ceramicist, custom fabricator, and graphic designer, but her love for making spans a much wider variety of mediums. In addition to working in CED's Fabrication Shop, Caputo is a practicing artist and operates her own ceramics studio.
