Spring 2016, M.Arch Thesis Studio, ARCH 204B – Choksombatchai
This thesis inquiry is about an exploration of an architecture that lies between two opposing conditions. It is an architecture of resistance against an extreme clarity of one quality over another. Can architecture claim to besituated within these liminal territories? How can architecture be defined in such an ambiguous space between uncertainty and intentionality?
The thesis contends that while the state of ambiguity is multivalent, it is neither random nor fortuitous. An ambiguous space demands fineness, exactitude with high level of rigor and precision.
