WORK
LD ARCH 205 Spring 2011
Project 1 draws upon Professor Wenk’s decade-long involvement in the restoration of the Los Angeles River to develop plans to better connect the city with its river, and to design interventions at key points along the river system. Project 2 draws upon over a decade of experience working for spoonbill habitat preservation in Taiwan, Korea, and Japan by a team of Berkeley faculty and students, lead by Professors McNally and Hester. The plans generated in the studio contributed significantly to better land-use management in the region in coming years.
