Landscape Biennial of Barcelona
FLOW by JING MA, Spring 2014
Barbary Coast Trail Museum
Built in 1923, the historical San Francisco Mining Exchange Building on site is the second oldest exchange building in the U.S, but has been vacant since 1979. Landscape design of this museum celebrates the spirit of Barbary Coast trail – the flow of people in the city. The design which connects Pine Street and Bush Street with two plazas and a big staircase in the building tries to break the boundary between building and landscape, inside and outside and ultimately achieve the goal of a free flow.
