WORK
2014 Master of Architecture Studio One Projects
During the year-long 2013-14 studio, students probed into emerging technologies and experimented with “programming” material behavior in search of resource efficiency. Fueled by new methods to situate and regulate material properties, students explored the development of multifunctional matter and environmental control of built environments. Students established inquiries around the nature of programming matter and programming matter and nature by pioneering into integrative computational platforms (multi-physics and geometries) and microscalable digital fabrication. Students exercised material formulation beyond the development of new products; their task was to develop materials as a means to craft new habits of thought.
