Julian Alexandre Holzer
Mexico City, Mexico
Vice President, Real Estate Development and Management, Grupo Industrial Omega
After working in commercial real estate development and management in Mexico City and Panama City for the past seven years, Julian is looking forward to broadening his knowledge of the trade at UC Berkeley’s MRED+D.
Julian’s interest in real estate centers around adding value to properties while simultaneously improving the aesthetic and practical impact they have on the environment and communities that surround them. He has worked extensively on landmarked buildings and other structures within heritage districts to improve their commercial and cultural value while respecting the original intent of the people who built them.
While at Berkeley, Julian is excited to immerse himself in a vibrant community of architects, designers, developers, academics and investors, and, through interactions with them, absorbing different approaches to real estate development and urban design. He will also be focusing on enhancing skills that he has not previously studied in an academic setting, such as design, project finance and urban planning.
In his free time, Julian enjoys photography, gastronomy, hiking, playing squash and practicing yoga. He also travels extensively in search for the best kite boarding and scuba diving spots he can find.
