Cultural object digitization; image management; the history of photography.
Manages the digitization of historic documents and objects from the Environmental Design Archives with the aim of making high-quality digital reproductions to facilitate research and promote the unique and important collections of the College of Environmental Design.
BIOGRAPHY
Jason has worked at the College of Environmental Design since 2003. Initially working in the Architecture Visual Resources Library, he became Director and Librarian of the same collection in 2008 when it was renamed the CED Visual Resources Center. When this library merged with the Environmental Design Archives in 2022, he stayed on as manager of digitization and image management. Jason enjoys traveling and riding trains, hiking long distances in remote mountains, growing vegetables and fruits in his garden, photographing old buildings, building and playing primitive electronic musical instruments, and spinning house and techno records late at night on community radio.
