PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Madrid, I began my career as an architect at various architecture firms. I later joined the editorial teams of the magazines Pasajes de Arquitectura y Crítica and Arquitectura COAM, the official magazine of the Madrid College of Architects, and also worked as an architectural tour guide for the COAM Foundation. In 2001, I joined MoneoBrockStudio, where I ended up collaborating as an architect on the Panticosa Thermal Baths project. Between 2004 and 2008, I worked on the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism, for which I served as Spain’s national delegate. Between 2009 and 2016, I wrote my thesis, “El Prado: From Territory to Stage,” under the supervision of Rafael Moneo. I have been a professor at ETSAM since 2006 and have primarily taught Architectural Analysis (second year), Architectural Composition (fourth year), and the Composition Workshop for the Professional Master’s Degree, which is required to practice as an architect in Spain.
