David Lichtman
BIOGRAPHY
David has more than 35 years of commercial banking experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. As Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer at Bank of San Francisco, David is responsible for day-to-day activities serving businesses, individuals, and nonprofits. He fosters a culture of exceptional client service built on honor, integrity, strong performance, highly principled risk management, and employee excellence.
Prior to joining the BSF team, David was a longtime leader at First Republic Bank. As Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at First Republic, he was responsible for credit administration and a loan portfolio exceeding $170 billion. He is also a lecturer in real estate finance and development at the University of California, Berkeley.
David earned his MBA from the UC Berkeley-Haas School of Business and graduated with honors in Economics from Vassar College. He has a deep commitment to San Francisco’s youth and education, having served on the Board of Directors at Leadership High School, as a mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, and as a life-skills mentor to at-risk students at Megan Furth Academy. David currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.
