Daksh Arora
New Delhi, Delhi, India
Senior Manager, Capital Markets, CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd.
Daksh Arora joins the Berkeley MRED+D program from Delhi, India where he has been a part of leading advisory firms such as JLL & CBRE. He has studied architecture and interned with a team of international architects on a commercial development planned at ‘Aerocity.’ However, after witnessing a severe negative impact on the financial returns of the developer of the project due to government restrictions, he decided to complement his design proficiencies with a commercial outlook. This led him to join JLL, an international property consulting firm, in 2016 after his graduation, where he surveyed sites and developed information memoranda and cash flow projections while co-managing transactions. However, as he aspired to lead strategic deals, he pursued a full-time MBA and re-joined JLL in 2019 as an Assistant Manager advising investors and leading transactions. He then moved to CBRE, which encompassed a larger role for working with international developers and funds investing in India. During his career spanning more than four years, he has worked on closed transactions worth over $100 Mn.
By pursuing this course at Berkeley, he aims to learn how to drive strategic large-scale projects from conceptualization to implementation and create a positive and sustainable economic impact. As the course is an amalgamation of finance and innovative design, it would aid him as a young real estate professional to sustainably shape cities of the future, especially in emerging markets such as India.
In his spare time, Daksh enjoys exploring new places and biking.
