Cindy Rancatore
Project Management Consultant, Affordable Housing
Development Manager, Fivepoint Holdings
Before starting the MRED+D program, I worked as a project manager for several non-profit affordable housing developers. My responsibilities included management of all aspects of project development and ensuring we built quality projects within budget and on schedule.
In addition to learning on the job, I felt ready to have a formal education in real estate development. Going back to school would give me the opportunity to take a step back and learn about development, design and policy from a distinguished institution that could provide different perspectives and resources related to housing development.
Our faculty include professionals who are currently working in a variety of fields within the real estate development world. From practicing lawyers to design experts to economic and financial consultants, the faculty are incredibly diverse. It has been a benefit to have professionals teach their practice and provide real world examples of how their practice plays out in each of their fields and how they integrate within real estate development as an industry.
My cohort of peers are all so different! It’s great how open everyone is to share knowledge and resources with each other. We really feel like a tight-knit group looking to learn as much as possible together in our courses and from each other.
