MRED+D faculty Carl Shannon named in Bay Area “Power 100” list by The SF Business Times
MRED+D Lecturer Carl Shannon has been named as one of the Bay Area “Power 100” by The San Francisco Business Times — a list of the most influential people in Bay Area business.
Carl Shannon teaches two courses in the Master of Real Estate Development + Design program – Applications in Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Capital Markets – and is the Senior Managing Director and Regional Director—Northern California at Tishman Speyer. His vast business and real estate knowledge makes him one of MRED+D’s most popular faculty.
As Shannon said, “I am really honored to be part of the MRED+D program at Berkeley. The program pulls together top students from around the globe and brings them to Berkeley for an intensive year. The program leverages the best of the academic resources of Berkeley together with an outstanding faculty, many of whom are industry professionals in the field. As such, the MRED+D program is able to use the Bay Area and beyond as a sort of Laboratory for Real Estate Development working with faculty and on projects in one of the most dynamic regions in the world from a real estate development standpoint.”
“I am honored to have had the opportunity to work on some of the Bay Area’s most iconic developments including 555 Mission, 222 Second, Infinity, Lumina, Mira and Mission Rock. I am pleased to be able to share that experience with my students in the MRED+D program. The program has an excellent faculty that leverages the best of academia with real life practical experience.”
