Call for applications: Creedon Design Fellowship for early career faculty
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the inaugural Creedon Design Fellowship. Endowed by Gerard "Roddy" Creedon (1959–2021), a longtime and beloved lecturer in the Department of Architecture, the fellowship aims to connect academia to practice.
A founder and principal of Allied Architecture + Design, Creedon taught in the architecture program for nearly three decades. His passion was for overlapping practice with academia: "I believe in the possibility of an intensely beneficial reciprocity between the worlds of learning and practice, worlds often positioned at odds with each other to the detriment of both. I know I am better at both for my commitment to each, and I believe it is in straddling these worlds that thought can best inform action."
This early-career, non-tenure-track design appointment is for the academic year 2025–2026. For details and to apply, visit the Berkeley Recruit website.
