A brighter, more user-friendly pin-up space
In early February, students in ARCH 11B and ARCH100B had the honor of being the first to post their work in the newly remodeled lobby of Bauer Wurster Hall. After a flurry of work over winter break, the polished floors now gleam and the entire space is brighter, thanks to the light-colored homasote wall boards. The boards also make pinning a lot easier, as well as dampen sound. And easy-to-move portable walls with slender profiles allow us to configure the space in multiple ways for design reviews and other events and exhibitions.
We are grateful to Andrew Atwood, associate professor of architecture, for the design; Facilities Director Mike Bond for supervising construction; to MN Builders who fabricated everything in their shop; and to everyone who made this renovation possible through their Big Give donations in March of 2023.
