2024 Gadsby-Trudgett scholarships awarded to graduates focusing on sustainable environmental design
This year, the College of Environmental Design awarded Gadsby-Trudgett scholarships to three students graduating with BAs in Sustainable Environmental Design.
Iona Normandi is using her award to support a move to Colorado, where she will train as a naturalist at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. She will work on a 250-acre nature preserve educating the public on environmental issues.
For Theo Wyss-Flamm, the scholarship award is enabling him to attend the Association of Commuter Transportation's 38th Annual International Conference in Denver this August. There he'll join more than 600 transportation professionals who are gathering to discuss the challenges and opportunities of 21st-century sustainable transportation systems.
Bryan Tran is using his scholarship to pursue certification in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) practitioners program offered by UC Davis. He'll build on the skillset he developed as an SED major by learning tools and techniques for implementing and improving sustainability projects in the state.
Congratulations to all three impressive graduates, who are sure to make an impact as they begin their post-CED careers.
