BIOGRAPHY
Jiwon Park is a PhD student in Building Science, Technology, and Sustainability at UC Berkeley. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture in 2022 and a Master of Science in Architectural Planning in 2024 from Korea University, Seoul. In 2023, Jiwon expanded her research experience as a visiting scholar at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Jiwon has authored peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Building and Environment, Energy and Buildings, and the Journal of Building Engineering. She is also a recipient of the Kwanjeong Educational Scholarship. Her primary research interest lies in HVAC control strategies, with a particular focus on radiant systems. She is dedicated to developing radiant system control strategies that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while maintaining comfortable indoor environments.
