My research relates to the political economy of urban policies in Latin America, specifically relating to land markets and value and informal settlements. I also continue to research forms of peripheral urbanization, in the Colombian Amazon and California.

By working with cohosts who interview a guest scholar about recent research, Sur-Urbano builds bridges between disciplines, geographies, and broader publics by generating discourse across institutions.
