Vertical Cities Asia: Everyone Ages

The theme of the 2012 Vertical Cities Asia competition is “Everyone Ages,” referring to the phenomenon of rapidly aging populations in many Asian countries, especially in East Asia, where the number of people over age 65 is expected to grow dramatically over the next 50 years. The studio will, however, aim to integrate the needs of all — able-bodied and challenged individuals, young or old — thereby removing the physical and social barriers created by segregation by ages, singles or families, able-bodied and disabled.
