Ramón Gámez

Gámez is professor in the Department of Building Technology and in the Master of Advanced Projects of the E.T.S.A.M. He has been visiting professor at the University of Berlin TU and lectured at Alicante, Universidad Europe, PUCP Lima, ITAM Ciudad de México, Amman, Havana, among others. He has directed the Departament of Building Technology UEM.

In 1990, he associated with Patricia Fernández founding the office of CUARQ ARQUITECTOS. They have been winners of several architecture competitions and have received some professional distinctions. They have received national awards, winning the Luis Moreno Mansilla Award in 2017 for the project for the Spanish embassy building in Amman, Jordan.

Gámez has also won the first prize in the international competition organized by the AIPI (Italy) for the intervention in the buildings of Italian children's colonies of the 30s. It is worth highlighting the first prize in the Contest for the restoration and musealization of the Palacio de “el Capricho” at Alameda de Osuna in Madrid and the rehabilitation of the Chancellery of the Embassy of Spain in Havana. Some of his works in social housing have been in the Madrid Pavilion of Expo Shanghai. He is the author of several articles and publications.

Concorso Internazionale “Welcome in hotel” for the adaptation into a hotel of the Italian children's colonies of the 30s.

Project for the rehabilitation of the historic chancery of the Embassy of Spain in Havana, Cuba.
