
Charles Shin
Charles Shin is currently the Managing Director of Treasure Island Development Group. Mr. Shin is responsible for the execution of the $6 billion transformation of Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island. Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island will be a new San Francisco community comprised of two distinct and vibrant neighborhoods with 8,000 homes (single-family townhomes to mid-rise and high-rise towers, including 27% designated as affordable housing), three hotels, mixed-use space for retail and commercial and vast stretches of public parks and open spaces laced with walking and bike trails. The public parks and open space program will comprise 300 acres upon completion, representing the largest development of new open space in San Francisco since Golden Gate Park was developed in 1871. Prior to this, he was VP of Development at Prado Group, overseeing real estate development activities for the company. Before joining Prado, Mr. Shin was Director of Development at JS Sullivan Development, which focused on developing and constructing infill, mixed-use, multifamily projects. Mr. Shin started his career as a designer and project manager for Stanley Saitowitz I Natoma Architects in San Francisco.
