Wurster Hall, Havens House, and Blake Garden enhancements remain a high and pressing priority. Renewing our facilities is critical for faculty and student recruitment and retention and the quality of our teaching and research endeavors. Enhancements will create more effective interaction among students, faculty, staff, and professionals, and will strengthen the sense of community among the environmental design disciplines as envisioned when the college was established. In addition, the continual renewal of our facilities reflects the design values that we teach at Wurster Hall
To improve our conventional fabrication facilities and take full advantage of digital fabrication tools, CED is combining the shop and CAD/CAM lab into one facility on the second floor of Wurster Hall. We are grateful to alumni Tom Mead and Mark Cavagnero for their generous support of the design phase of this vital project. These improvements will help students stay abreast of developments in design and lab practice and expose them to real-world fabrication techniques. Consider a direct a gift to the Fabrication Shop improvements project,to aid in this critical upgrade.
