Thomas A. Brown ASLA (MLA '69) passed away on October 8, 2012. In 974 Thomas's started his own firm in Petaluma. The firm specialized in historic landscape restoration and research with projects including Monterey's Presidio Chapel, the Pardee House and the Camron-Stanford House in Oakland, the Leland Stanford Mansion in Sacramanto, and the Johnson House in Half Moon Bay. He was also a lecturer in the UC Berkeley Extension Landscape Architecture Program and Bay Area community colleges. Thomas was a founding member and immediate past president of the California Garden and Landscape History Society. Two memorial services will be held in November: November 4, 2012 at 4:00pm at the United Church of Christ, 825 Middlefield Drive, Petaluma, Calif. and on November 15, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Berkeley Botanical Garden, University of California at Berkeley (in the Mirov/Ornduff Rooms), 200 Centennial Drive, Berkeley.
