Opening of Oakville Grocery

Avila Design, led by David Avila (B.A. Arch '82), announced the opening of the new Oakville Grocery which has been a Napa Valley landmark for over 130 years and is California's oldest continually operating grocery store. The restoration marks the first phase of site wide improvements planned for the historic and cultural landmark. New interior finishes and fixtures were added to enhance the original aesthetic of the sales area. With this modernization the grocery hopes to meet the needs of its new generation of customers.
