ACSA 2015 Awards
Jesse LeCavalier (M. Arch '03) was awarded the 2015 New Faculty Teaching Award by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. The award recognizes demonstrated excellence in teaching performance during the formative years of an architectural teaching career. Jesse LeCavalier is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is the coordinator of the first year B. Arch program.
Jesse LeCavalier was also awarded a 2014 grant from the Graham Foundation for his publication, The Rules of Logistics, University of Minnesota Press, 2015. This book addresses Walmart's architecture and urbanism in terms of its logistics operations. For Walmart, logistics dictates the design of the retailer's buildings, governs their deployment, and conditions the workers who operate them.
