The CED Admissions Ambassador Undergraduate Internship Program is a leadership opportunity for current undergraduates. The Ambassadors aid the college's effort to increase visibility of CED-related fields and encourage prospective students to apply to CED's degree programs. This fall, our Ambassadors did not miss a beat as they continued in the tradition of friendly and welcoming service to prospective students especially in underrepresented communities.
The CED Ambassadors represent the college through presentations, events and one-on-one sessions with prospective students. A favorite fall event is the annual visit from local KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) academies. KIPP is a college-preparatory public charter school with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college. During this fall's KIPP event, the CED Ambassadors lead one hundred sixth graders through engaging activities in Wurster Hall.
After a fall semester focused on the professional training and development of the Ambassadors, we are excited to begin the spring semester with the same enthusiastic energy engendered by this great program.
CED Admissions Ambassadors look forward to expanding the partnerships we have with schools and academic programs. We encourage you to refer any student, school and/or program to Omar Ramirez to continue to build the CED Admissions Ambassadors Program and help increase the visibility of the College’s undergraduate majors.
