The Cal Energy Corps is an undergraduate internship program created to engage the best and brightest students from UC Berkeley in the design, development and delivery of sustainable energy and climate solutions around the world. Recently, 27 outstanding students were selected for summer internships around the world.
Sahra Mirbabaee, a third-year CED undergraduate in Urban Studies, is working in Leipzig, Germany at Fraunhofer MOEZ helping to evaluate European energy efficiency programs. On campus, Sahra has been involved with the Cal Facilitation Team, Blueprint Leaders for Social Justice, and Global Architecture Brigades. As President of Global Architecture Brigades, she led the winning design of a national competition for a rainwater collection system and has completed research in the City and Regional Planning Department on the implementation of Climate Action Plans in cities across California. Sahra is interested in using city planning as a means to improve the built and natural environment.
