Congratulations to UC Berkeley alumni and students recently honored by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) 2013 Professional Awards and Student Awards, recognizing the top public places, residential designs, campuses, parks and urban planning projects worldwide. 33 awards will be presented at the ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO in Boston, MA on November 18.
ASLA Professional Awards Honoring UC Berkeley Alumni
General Design Honor Award to PWP Landscape Architecture for the design, Novartis Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
Residential Design Honor Award to Lutsko Associates, Landscape for the design, Woodside Residence in Woodside, CA.
Analysis and Planning Honor Awards to Mia Lehrer + Associates for the study, Piggyback Yard Feasibility Study in Los Angeles, CA; SWA Group for the study, City/Park Hybridized in Changsha, Hunan, China and for the study, Ningbo Eco-Corridor 3.3 Km Living Filter in Ningbo, China.
Communications Honor Award to Suzanne Turner for the book, The Garden Diary of Martha Turnbull, Mistress of Rosedown Plantation (LSU Press); Skidmore, Owings & Merrill for the initiative, Great Lakes Century Vision.
ASLA Student Awards Honoring UC Berkeley Students
General Design Honor Award to Sarah Moos for her project, 50,000 Trees.
Communications Award to Issue 02: Grit of GROUND UP, the student journal of UC Berkeley's Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning.
