The Mahlum Architect team who was recently awarded a Society for College and University Planning 2013 Honor Award in Planning for the West Campus Housing - Phases I at the University of Washington included planner Robert Sabbatini AICP FASLA (BA Landscape Architecture, 1972) and project architect Maureen O'Leary (M.Arch, 1994). The project, now constructed, provides 1,655 beds of student housing and an urban grocery store, cafe, health and wellness center, and conferencing/classrooms that animate its urban setting.
