Erin Moore (M.Arch. '02), AIA, Associate Professor of Architecture and Environmental Studies, is the new Head of School of Architecture & Environment at University of Oregon. Moore stepped into the role of Dean in July 1, 2018 after receiving widespread nominations and support from School of Architecture & Environment faculty and leadership. The head of school is an essential leadership role, which facilitates the strategic vision and and operations of the College at the campus level. Within the College, the head of school also works with School of Architecture & Environment department and program heads on the vision and operations of the school’s academic programs.
Moore's award-winning design practice, FLOAT architectural research and design, takes sustainabilty and cyclical change as its core premise, and conceives of buildings as an integrated part of their surrounding ecosystems.
Moore is a graduate of UC Berkeley (M.Arch. '02) and of Smith College (B.A. American Studies). She is also a registered architect in Oregon and Arizona.
