All CED Students are cordially invited to attend a FREE film screening in the Wurster Courtyard on Tuesday, October 28 at 6pm! We will be showing the independent film, Medianeras (Sidewalls), which is a heartfelt film about architecture, the city, and their effect on two people in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Free pizza will be served, so bring all of your CED studio buddies. Take a break from that model or GIS map, bring a blanket, and enjoy a relaxing night right in the backyard of our beloved Wurster Hall.
More about the movie: “A clever romantic comedy examining with charm how the architecture of a city conditions the lives of two of its residents. Sidewalls is a touching, poignant film about love in an ever-changing metropolis. Paying homage to the unique city of Buenos Aires, writer/director Gustavo Taretto reflects on how urban chaos, as well as new technologies, can alternately unite and alienate people. Mixing animation, photography and graphic art, he reveals how isolation and anxiety that comes with modern life in a bustling city can inadvertently lead two hearts destined for each other to find themselves despite all odds.”
