KENNETH SIMMONS COMMUNITY DESIGN FUND
Honoring Prof. Emeritus of Architecture Kenneth H. Simmon's passing in 2010, the fund was established in 1999 with gifts from friends of the Berkeley campus to encourage the study of diversity in design within CED. Simmons played a lead role in helping the university to divest from South Africa and helped establish the Black Environmental Student Association at UC Berkeley. This event is sponsored by CED Alumni of Color.
