Project: 388 Fulton and Richardson Apartments
Location: San Francisco, CA

David Baker Architects is a progressive architecture firm located in San Francisco, Oakland, and Birmingham, Alabama, that creates acclaimed buildings in urban environments. DBA is known for exceptional housing, creative site strategies, designing for density, and integrating new construction into the public realm. The complementary curved forms of 388 Fulton and Richardson Apartments frame City Hall and repair a rift caused by the 1989 earthquake. 388 Fulton’s market-rate microunits offer simplified, connected living in the middle of the city. Richardson’s studios support formerly homeless residents with accessible on-site services.

DSR The Shed

Diller Scofidio + Renfro

Project name: The Shed
Location: New York, NY

Founded in 1981, Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) is an interdisciplinary design studio based in New York. The studio is led by four partners — Elizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, Charles Renfro and Benjamin Gilmartin. Having completed the High Line and the transformation of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, DS+R is currently engaged in two more projects significant to New York, scheduled to open in 2019: The Shed, New York’s first multi-arts center and the renovation and expansion of (MoMA).

LAX Automated People Mover

DLR Group | Kwan Henmi

Project: Los Angeles World Airport’s LAX Automated People Mover
Location: Los Angeles, CA

In June 2017, Kwan Henmi Architecture/Planning joined DLR Group. Both firms brought together 1,200+ design professionals in a unified, collaborative design culture committed to elevating the human experience through design. DLR Group|Kwan Henmi (KH) has a depth of knowledge in the design of multi-family residential, transportation, civic, education, and commercial projects. This $2.6-billion-dollar Public- Private-Partnership (P3) project is part of Los Angeles’ efforts to make the LAX airport more usable as the Summer 2028 Olympics will be hosted in Los Angeles. As one of the three architecture firms in the team, DLR Group|KH is taking the lead on one of the intermodal transit facility stations and two parking garage renovations.


Project: Candlestick
Location: San Francisco, CA

Candlestick today? A whole new ball game. A reborn community with limitless possibilities. FivePoint is creating a new San Francisco destination, an exciting mixed-use community featuring vibrant, distinct neighborhoods.

Project: Ong & Ong Plaza
Location: UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design

PGAdesign uses their skills and experience to reveal the site’s unique qualities while elegantly integrating the client’s mission and program. Our work has been recognized with local, state, and national awards. PGAdesign was honored to redesign the front courtyard of Wurster Hall. The plaza was designed to look and feel like an extension of the notable building, provide students with outdoor study and socializing space, as well as an event space for the new Rice & Bones Café.


Plant Construction

Project Name: Contemporary Jewish Museum
Location:  San Francisco, CA

The bold design by Daniel Libeskind, joint ventured with WRNS Studio, was constructed as the new home of the Contemporary Jewish Museum in 2007. Plant Construction was engaged at the earliest stage of the project to deliver preconstruction services for the existing 1905 Willis Polk building and for the ambitious, new 64,000-square-foot steel structure that houses the museum’s interior spaces — a lobby, gallery spaces, special events space, education space, meeting rooms, café, retail store, offices, a multi-purpose room and support spaces for these functions.
