Joseph King is an architect/designer who has practiced with several highly regarded firms in the Bay Area and Chicago. His work as a lead designer has been recognized with awards from AIA Chicago and AIA San Francisco, and has been published/exhibited in forums including the Wall Street Journal and the National Academy Museum, NY. Joe is interested in high-density urban design typologies and the role of design in the evolution of American cities.
Joe received a B.A. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.Arch from the University of Michigan. He has taught studio courses at the Academy of Art University and has been a visiting critic at the Illinois Institute of Technology, UC Berkeley and Northwestern University. He is an Associate Principal at Solomon Cordwell Buenz in San Francisco.
