A graduate of Columbia University and Princeton University, Mr. Gottlieb is a leader in Thornton Tomasetti’s Structural Engineering practice. Eli Gottlieb has worked on technically challenging and creative projects around the world. His experience includes the structural analysis and design of a broad spectrum of building, including museums and cultural institutions, commercial and residential high-rises, hotels, healthcare facilities, academic buildings and sports venues. Eli brings creative thinking and new approaches to many of his projects. He lead the engineering the 10-acre platform over an active rail yard on which much of Manhattan’s massive Hudson Yards is built as well as The Shed, which created a new paradigm for flexible cultural and performance space. He is currently working on the renovation of Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center as well as multiple mass timber cultural / higher education facilities.
