Cal 1 Card & Clipper Card
embARC Summer Design Academy
On check-in with the College of Environmental Design (July 3), you receive your Cal 1 Card only.
Most embARC students will receive their Clipper Card (pre-loaded with $20) from the teaching team during your field trip on Monday, July 10. This will ensure a smooth departure. After this, you can keep your Clipper Card for personal use.
If you need to pick-up your cards in Sproul Hall:
- Go to room 212 (Sproul Hall): Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4:30 pm and make sure your photo is uploaded to CalCentral beforehand
- For room & building access, go with your Cal 1 Card to Bauer Wurster, room 477: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 12 noon & 1 pm – 5 pm
- To get the $20 uploaded to Clipper Card, send your Clipper Card number to the embARC email address (embarc@berkeley.edu). Since it will take a few days until the funds are available, please do this as soon as you possibly can.
If you received your Cal 1 Card and Clipper Card at a dorm (Blackwell or Martinez), you already have room access and we uploaded the $20 to your Clipper Card.
IMPORTANT: If you use your Clipper Card to travel any other system than AC Transit (for example, BART and MUNI), we ask you to upload funds to your card again before your field trip on July 10, so that you won’t hold up the group when you leave.
