Cal 1 Card & Clipper Card
DISC
Your Clipper Card will be pre-loaded with $45 if:
- You received them at check-in from the CED on July 3 (unless we tell you otherwise)
- You received them at dorm check-in
These funds will cover your DISC field work trips by BART and ferry.
IMPORTANT: If you make personal trips on BART or other public transportation which requires payment (this is aside from AC Transport, i.e., local buses, which are free), make sure to upload sufficient funds on the card again before your next field trip. This will ensure that you don’t hold up the group when you meet and start for your field trips.
If you have to pick-up your cards from Sproul Hall* yourself, your Clipper Card will not have any funds on there. In that case, you need to email us your Clipper Card number so that we can register the card and upload the DISC field trip funds. Since it will take a few days until the funds are available, please do this as soon as you possibly can.
If you are a continuing student at UC Berkeley, please let us know your situation. We can only upload funds to the Clipper Card if we can register it. If you have done this for your own use already, we have to get creative. IMPORTANT: You also need to do #2 below to get building & room access.
Email for all questions and the Clipper Card number (if applicable): summerdiscovery@berkeley.edu
* If you need to pick-up your cards in Sproul Hall, take care of this right away:
- Go to room 212 (Sproul Hall): Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4:30 pm and make sure your photo is uploaded to CalCentral beforehand
- For room & building access, go with your Cal 1 Card to Bauer Wurster, room 477: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 12 noon & 1 pm – 5 pm
- To get the funds uploaded to Clipper Card, send your Clipper Card number to the DISC email address (summerdiscovery@berkeley.edu)
