Stuart Glenn joins UC Berkeley’s Master of Real Estate Development + Design program with an impressive 15-year career in the real estate development industry. Currently, he serves as the Senior Development Manager at Apple, Inc., where he is involved in all forms of the retail development process including asset management, real estate finance, lease and contract negotiations, and construction management throughout the North America and Asian Pacific territories. Stuart’s work focuses on luxury retail projects ranging from Apple’s IFC flagship store in Hong Kong to its Union Square flagship store in San Francisco, CA. Before joining Apple, Stuart worked as a Project Manager at Clark Construction Group, leading the procurement department for the North America Western Region. This experience provided Stuart with the foundation and necessary skills to pilot successful projects for both Clark Construction and Apple.
Stuart received his dual B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Morehouse College and North Carolina A&T State University. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL, but has spent the last 15 years in California. He is passionate about starting his own commercial real estate development firm to shape structures for underrepresented communities to thrive. Building affordable housing opportunities for minorities and underrepresented segments of society, is core to his vision. By pursuing a Master in Real Estate Development + Design, he plans to further his expertise in developing sustainable designs while providing economic opportunities to achieve social equity.
Stuart resides in the East Bay and was recently inducted into the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area, where he volunteers his time organizing local social justice initiatives. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling internationally and domestically, cooking, wine tasting, and golfing.
