Prior to joining UC Berkeley’s MRED+D program, Max served as a Business and Wealth Management Account Manager for Armanino LLP in Los Angeles. He managed financial affairs for many of Armanino’s high-net-worth clients, which included both the structuring and monitoring of each of his clients' personal and business ventures. His day-to-day tasks included everything from tax planning and cash flow management to financial reporting and advising his clients on their future investment endeavors.
Max has also served as Project Coordinator for Mark G. Anderson Consultants (MGAC), a construction and project management firm. This position took Max to MGAC’s Seattle and Washington, D.C. offices, where he assisted his clients with the planning, management, and execution phases of complex real estate projects. He was responsible for project justification throughout the pre-development phase, market analysis and feasibility studies, value engineering, site permitting, and assisting the project team with vendor sourcing and management for all vendors associated with the project (architects, general contractors, engineers, etc.). While at MGAC, Max worked on projects ranging from small tenant improvement spaces to large corporate master plan developments.
Max graduated from University of Oregon in 2018 with degrees in Business Entrepreneurship and Architecture. As a Bay Area native, Max is excited to continue his academic and professional career back at home. He looks forward to expanding his knowledge of the interplay between the development process and investment strategies. Pursuing an MRED+D degree from UC Berkeley will allow Max to engage with innovative practices and sustainable solutions, which will move him closer to achieving his goal of designing structures and cities that grow alongside our ever-changing world.
In his free time, Max enjoys sports generally (especially running), snowboarding, traveling, and getting together with friends.
