Mark Bluth received his B.S. in Economics with a major in Philosophy from Santa Clara University in 2014. After graduation he worked in corporate real estate for Oracle and then Square Inc, focusing on portfolio strategy, project management, and site planning. His work centered him on the West Coast between Portland, Oregon and the Bay Area, although his impact extended across North America. Each of his projects integrated financial feasibility, company objectives and values, and employee experience to ultimately enhance business activity.
Mark grew up in Orange County, CA, where he witnessed ground-up development throughout the 1990s, inspiring his lifelong interest in real estate, urban planning, and communtiy development. When he lived in Portland, Oregon, he founded the local young leaders chapter for CoreNet Global to organize awareness of major company projects within the metropolitan area along with housing and community issues facing the city. This experience taught him the value of individual responsibility and action. Upon his return to California, he decided to transfer his focus from corporate projects to localized real estate investment and development, which guided him to join Berkeley's Master of Real Estate Development + Design program. Mark believes his experience expanding and managing corporate portfolios can aid him in designing and redeveloping property throughout California.
When he is not talking about urban history, Mark enjoys staying active, visiting family, saltwater fishing, and golfing.
