Edward joins UC Berkeley’s MRED+D with more than 10 years of professional and entrepreneurial real estate experience.
By employing modular and traditional construction methods, Edward intends to help redevelop urban missing middle neighborhoods that provide affordable, design-driven housing options for low- and moderate-income families. Berkeley’s MRED+D gives him the opportunity to combine development theory with hands-on learning to gain a deeper interdisciplinary understanding of how development can positively impact society and the environment.
Most recently, Edward worked as an Asset Manager for Digital Realty, a real estate investment trust that invests in carrier-neutral data centers and provides colocation and peering services. He was largely responsible for managing the financial and operational functions of a diverse portfolio of data center and mixed-use properties. Prior to working with Digital, Edward worked for several years as a Real Estate Paralegal for Taylor, Goins & Stallworth, a full-service law firm headquartered in Oakland, CA. At TG&S, he was responsible for negotiating contracts, drafting closing documents, and preparing lease and rental agreements.
Edward graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management. He is currently in the process of becoming a licensed California real estate broker. Edward was born in Oakland, CA. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, rock climbing, traveling and playing chess.
